![]() Miller is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology. The practice was rebranded Charleston Equine Clinic in 2017 and has grown to become the largest equine practice in the Lowcountry.ĭr. ![]() ![]() Miller received training in colic surgery at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. During his tenure with Shambley Equine Clinic, Dr. Miller joined Shambley Equine Clinic as an Associate and was made Partner in 2008. Miller was hired as a Staff Veterinarian in the Equine Ambulatory Department of the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI where he focused primarily on Standardbred racehorses and served as an instructor to senior students. Miller completed an Internship in Ambulatory Equine Practice at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida where he later returned to work as an Associate Veterinarian focusing primarily on Thoroughbred reproduction, Thoroughbred racehorses in training and Thoroughbred sales.ĭr. He received the Vetoquinol® Award for Proficiency and Excellence in Equine Medicine and Surgery that same year.įollowing graduation, Dr. Miller was published in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the Equine Veterinary Journal and the Proceedings of the 49th AAEP Annual Convention. Miller, a native of Canada, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Brunswick and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2002.
